Vintage Story Server Requirements
Which plan is right for your group? Here's how to choose.
RAM by Player Count
1–5 players (Settler, 4GB): Comfortable for vanilla gameplay and light modding. Plenty of headroom for a small group building out a world together.
5–15 players (Artisan, 6GB): The right fit for most modded servers. Handles popular mod collections without choking when multiple players are active.
15–30+ players (Temporal, 8GB): Built for large communities and heavy modpacks. Extra vCPU and storage give you room to grow.
CPU Performance
Vintage Story simulates a living world — weather, AI, block physics, and player actions all run server-side. Settler and Artisan run on 2 dedicated vCPU cores, which handles most scenarios well. Temporal adds a third core for larger player counts and more complex world simulations.
Disk Space
World saves grow steadily as you explore and build, and mod files add to that. Settler's 15GB covers most small-to-medium worlds. Artisan (25GB) and Temporal (40GB) give you room for larger worlds, heavier mod collections, and local backup copies.

The Nitro Panel
Based on Pterodactyl.io, our control panel is packed with features and style, helping you control your server with ease and precision.
Everything Your Server Needs
Every Vintage Story hosting plan includes the following.
Instant Server Setup
Your server is live the moment you order. No waiting, no manual configuration. Log into the Nitro panel and start playing.
Full Mod Support
Install mods with the /moddb command directly from the panel, or upload manually via the file manager. All mods, no restrictions.
Offsite Backups
Automatic offsite snapshots on every plan. Your world is protected against data loss and hardware failures. Additional backup slots available.
Whitelist and Privacy Controls
Enable whitelist mode from the panel — no config file editing. Run a private server with your friends or open it up to everyone.
Custom Server Settings
Full file manager access on every plan. Edit server config, world generation options, startup variables — full control with no restrictions.
Custom Subdomain
Get your own yourname.evlbox.net address. Share it with your players instead of a raw IP. Available on all plans at no extra cost.
Four Locations
We have three locations throughout the United states, and one based in Falkenstein, Germany. Check your ping against our locations to decide on which is best for your server.
About Vintage Story
New to the game? Here's what you need to know.
Vintage Story is an uncompromising wilderness survival game developed by Anego Studios. Set in a decaying world haunted by temporal storms and strange creatures, you carve out a life by mining, crafting, farming, and building — with systems deep enough to sink hundreds of hours into. It draws comparisons to Minecraft but plays closer to a hardcore RPG: more demanding, more rewarding, and built around a player-driven economy of tools, food, and shelter.
Multiplayer is where Vintage Story gets serious. Running the game peer-to-peer means your world only exists when the host is online. A Vintage Story dedicated server keeps your world running 24/7, so your group can log in and out on their own schedule without losing progress or waiting on anyone. It also delivers better stability and lower latency for everyone connected.
The mod community is active and the /moddb command makes mod management easy — install, update, and remove mods directly from the server console without touching config files manually.
