Admin, Friend and Guest Roles

Enshrouded does not have admin commands. There is no console to type into and no chat command list. Moderation runs on roles: your server has three groups, each with its own password, and the password you give someone decides what they are allowed to do. All three live on the Startup tab of your server in the Nitro Panel.
What each role can do

Admin is for you and anyone you trust with the whole server. Friend is the everyday role for your group: they can build, loot and play normally, but cannot grow the base footprint or touch the Flame Altar. Guest is for visitors: they can explore and fight, but cannot open containers or build.
The passwords

Making a public server
Section titled “Making a public server”Leave Guest Password empty. Anyone who finds the server in the browser can join as a Guest, which means they can explore but not build or loot. Your Admin and Friend passwords still gate the roles that can change things.
Reserved slots
Section titled “Reserved slots”Admin Reserved Slots and Friend Reserved Slots hold back part of your player cap for that group. With Max Players at 16 and one admin slot reserved, fifteen players can fill the server and an Admin can still get in. Reserved slots come out of the cap, they do not add to it.
Changing a password or a slot count
Section titled “Changing a password or a slot count”Role passwords and reserved slots are the one kind of setting that does not apply on a plain restart.
- Open the Startup tab and change the field.
- Go to Settings and click Reinstall Server.
- Start the server.
The reinstall keeps your world, saves and files. It only rewrites the permissions block in the server config. This is needed because the panel’s config editor writes single values, and the role list is a list, so the install step owns it.
Kicking and banning
Section titled “Kicking and banning”Players with the Admin password get the kick and ban permission inside the game. There is no server-side ban list to edit, so a ban is applied from the game by an Admin who is online.
